Bhubaneswar, April 2 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has strongly criticized the abrupt adjournment of the ongoing Budget session of the Odisha Assembly at midnight on Tuesday. The party condemned the move, saying it prevented a formal discussion on a condemnation motion against offensive remarks made by BJP MP i Nishikant Dubey about the revered leader Biju Babu.

At a joint press conference, BJD Deputy Leader in the Assembly Prasanna Acharya, Party's Senior Vice President Debi Prasad Mishra and Vice-President Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak called the state BJP government "double-faced" for its inaction.
