Bhubaneswar, Sept. 4 -- The opposition Biju Janata Dal (BJD) on Friday alleged that the failure of the Food Corporation of India (FCI) to lift rice from Odisha was creating serious problems for paddy procurement in the state.
The party also accused the FCI of neglecting Odisha while giving greater importance and incentives to other states, and claimed that the situation could lead to serious disruptions at paddy procurement centres in the coming days.
Addressing a press conference at the party headquarters here, former Ministers Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak and Sanjay Dasburma launched a scathing attack on the BJP government over the issue.
