Bhubaneswar, April 27 -- The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of staging "political drama" across the country through public outrage rallies over the Women's Reservation Bill, alleging that the ruling party is misleading people on the issue.

BJD Rajya Sabha MP Sulata Deo and senior General Secretary Lekhashree Samantasinghar sharply criticized what they termed as "false propaganda" by the BJP.

The BJD leaders alleged that under the pretext of women's reservation, the BJP intended to push forward a delimitation exercise.

They argued that if the BJP was genuinely committed to women's empowerment, it should immediately implement 33 percent reservation among the 543 Members of Parliament.
