Thiruvananthapuram, June 25 -- The Kerala Cabinet has approved the appointment of senior IAS officer Bishwanath Sinha as the next Chief Secretary of the state, placing one of Kerala's most experienced administrators at the helm of the bureaucracy.
A 1992-batch IAS officer of the Kerala cadre, Sinha brings more than three decades of experience in governance, public administration, finance, disaster recovery, home affairs and policy implementation at both the state and national levels.
His appointment is also expected to provide administrative continuity and stability, with his tenure likely to extend until September 2028. Officials believe the relatively long tenure will help ensure sustained implementation of major government programmes, ...
