Kolkata, May 22 -- In a significant development - the TMC MLA from Bishnupur Dilip Mondal moved the Calcutta High Court seeking protection from arrest amid fears that he could be taken into custody at any moment in connection with multiple FIRs lodged against him.
His counsel mentioned the matter before the bench of Justice Sougata Bhattacharyya, who permitted the filing of the petition on Friday.
