Mumbai, Aug. 26 -- Suburban services on Central Railway's Harbour line were disrupted on Wednesday afternoon after a bird got entangled in the pantograph of a local train at Kharghar station, leading to smoke and OHE tripping.
According to Central Railway CPRO Swapnil Nila, the incident occurred at 2.08 pm when a Panvel-bound local was entering platform no. 4 at Kharghar station.
A bird got stuck in the pantograph of Unit-3 of the train, causing an electrical spark and smoke from the pantograph and overhead equipment. Station staff immediately tripped the power supply as a precautionary measure.
