Patna, June 22 -- : Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today transferred more than Rs 200 crore as crop input subsidy directly into the bank accounts of over 396,000 farmers affected by storms, unseasonal rainfall and hailstorms that struck the state during the third and fourth weeks of March this year.
The subsidy was disbursed through the Direct Benefit Transfer (DBT) mechanism under the state's Agriculture Input Subsidy Scheme at a function held here during the day.
