Patna, May 16 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday said the state is set to take a major leap toward becoming a national hub for food processing, with the approval for setting up the country's third National Institute of Food Technology Entrepreneurship and Management in Hajipur, Vaishali district.

He said here that the institute, to be developed over 100 acres in Hajipur, is expected to significantly strengthen the state's food processing ecosystem by promoting research, technical education, and entrepreneurship in the sector.

Choudhary termed the development a "historic step" and said it would open new avenues for farmers, youth, and entrepreneurs across the state.
