Patna, May 18 -- Bihar Agriculture Minister Vijay Kumar Sinha today said the state government has set a target to generate Farmer IDs for 86.36 lakh farmers by June under its ongoing farmer registry drive.

Sinha said that under the second mission mode of the farmer registry campaign, 74,434 farmers have been registered so far, taking the total number of registered farmers in the state to 48.57 lakh.

He urged officials of the Agriculture Department and the Revenue and Land Reforms Department to accelerate the pace of registration and work in close coordination to achieve the target within the stipulated timeframe.
