Patna, March 29 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Sunday said that comprehensive preparations have been initiated across the state to tackle the impact of the upcoming heat wave.
The minister said here that all hospitals have been directed to prepare micro plans and roster schedules for healthcare workers ahead of the summer season.
Screening of patients visiting OPDs for heat wave symptoms has been made mandatory, while arrangements for safe drinking water and cooling facilities in waiting areas are being ensured.
He said that ORS corners will be set up at every health institution to provide immediate relief to patients.
