Patna, March 18 -- With the state government undertaking large-scale efforts to strengthen and modernize worn-out village roads, the Chief Minister Rural Road Upgradation Scheme is transforming rural connectivity across Bihar.

Official sources said on Saturday that implemented by the Rural Works Department, the scheme focuses on improving the safety and ease of transportation in rural areas by upgrading old and deteriorated roads based on their condition and traffic needs.

So far, upgradation work on 775 rural roads, covering a total length of 2,835 km, has been completed across the state, giving a major boost to rural infrastructure.
