Patna, June 15 -- : Bihar Planning and Development Minister Bhagwan Singh Kushwaha today directed officials to strengthen the local information network to ensure comprehensive registration of births and deaths across the state, emphasising that civil registration is not merely an administrative process but a vital means of ensuring citizens' access to government services and entitlements.
Kushwaha said awareness about registration must be increased through direct engagement with families and by strengthening information channels at the local level. He also called for effective dissemination of birth and death-related data and greater public awareness through information boards and other local communication platforms.
