Patna, March 18 -- Bihar Health Minister Mangal Pandey on Wednesday said that ensuring quality healthcare services for children remains a key commitment of the state government.

Pandey said here that the vision of a "healthy Bihar" can only be achieved through the holistic mental and physical development of children.

He noted that the government is continuously working to provide better healthcare facilities to children across the state.

Under the National Programme for Control of Blindness, special eye screening camps are being organised in government schools to examine children's vision he said adding that the Civil Surgeons in all districts have been directed to ensure effective implementation of the programme.
