Patna, Sept. 21 -- Bihar Pradesh Congress Committee president Rajesh Ram on Monday expressed concern over an alleged incident of misbehaviour with a minor girl in the Jamui police station area, saying it has raised serious questions over law and order and the safety of girls in the state.
Ram said here that it was "shameful and worrying" that girls were facing such incidents on public roads.
Questioning the state government's claims of rule of law, he said the incident raised concerns over whether criminals feared the police and the law.
"If girls are not safe even while travelling between school and home, what is the meaning of the government's claims regarding law and order?" he said.
