Patna, May 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Friday participated in a special programme organised on the occasion of Buddha Purnima and offered prayers for peace, harmony and prosperity of the society.
The programme was held at Buddha Smriti Park, where the Chief Minister performed prayers under the guidance of Buddhist monks. He offered prayers in front of the statue of Gautama Buddha and also worshipped sacred Bodhi trees, including those linked to Bodh Gaya and Anuradhapura in Sri Lanka.
