Patna, April 17 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Chaudhary on Friday launched the 'Census 2027' exercise in the state, urging citizens to participate actively and enthusiastically in what is considered the world's largest administrative and statistical operation.

The Chief Minister inaugurated the census process from the Chief Minister's Secretariat, marking the formal beginning of the nationwide campaign in Bihar.

He described the census as the "foundation of good governance," stating that it plays a vital role in shaping future development plans, public policies and welfare schemes.
