Patna, May 26 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today directed officials to ensure uninterrupted supply of safe drinking water to every household across the state, emphasizing the need to strengthen existing systems.
Chairing a review meeting of the Public Health Engineering Department, the Chief Minister instructed that the duration of daily water supply be extended by one hour each in the morning and evening to ensure better availability for citizens.
Choudhary said that under the "Har Ghar Nal Ka Jal" scheme, clean drinking water is already being provided to households, but stressed that its effectiveness must be further enhanced. Extending supply hours will help ensure consistent access to water for all citizens, he said.
