Patna, June 1 -- : In a major relief for lakhs of beneficiaries of welfare schemes, Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary today announced that social security pension payments would be credited to beneficiaries' bank accounts by the 10th of every month and directed officials to ensure that there is no delay in the disbursement process.
The announcement was made during a high-level review meeting of the Social Welfare Department, where the Chief Minister assessed the implementation of various welfare programmes aimed at supporting vulnerable sections of society, women and children.
