Patna, Aug. 1 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Saturday directed the Real Estate Regulatory Authority (RERA) to make its functioning more transparent, simple, accountable and technology-driven, while ensuring that the interests and rights of homebuyers remain the highest priority.

He said RERA should promote Ease of Doing Business without compromising consumer protection.

Reviewing the functioning of the Real Estate Regulatory Authority, the Chief Minister stressed that homebuyers' grievances and disputes must be resolved in a transparent, sensitive and time-bound manner.

He underlined that protecting the interests and rights of homebuyers is the most important aspect of reforms in the real estate sector.
