Patna, July 9 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Thursday directed the authorities concerned to ensure uninterrupted electricity supply to farmers from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. through dedicated agriculture feeders across the state.

While reviewing the state''s renewable energy initiatives with union Minister for New and Renewable Energy Pralhad Joshi in a high-level meeting, the Chief Minister asked the officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply for the convenience of the farmers in the current agricultural season.

He said that in view of the prevailing rain fall scenario, it has been decided to supply electricity to the farmers for irrigation facilities to their field.
