Patna, Aug. 24 -- Bihar Chief Minister Samrat Choudhary on Monday conducted an aerial survey of flood-affected and vulnerable areas in Patna, Begusarai and Bhagalpur districts amid rising water levels in the Ganga and worsening flood conditions in several areas.

During the aerial inspection, the Chief Minister surveyed Navagachia-Raghopur diara, the Kosi-Ganga confluence area, Begusarai, Bakhtiyarpur and other locations to assess the water levels of the Ganga and its tributaries, the situation in diara and low-lying areas, and the ongoing relief and rescue operations.

Choudhary directed officials to maintain constant vigil over the flood situation and keep the administration on high alert in vulnerable areas.
