Patna, July 29 -- The Bihar Cabinet Wednesday approved the creation of 19 Exclusive Special Courts for speedy disposal of cases under the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, 1989.
In addition to this, two additional Special Courts in Patna and one in Muzaffarpur will also be set up under the Prevention of Corruption Act, 1988 to hear the cases related to corruption.
Briefing reporters after the Cabinet meeting, Cabinet Secretariat Additional Chief Secretary Arvind Chaudhary said the state government approved the creation of 19 posts of District and Additional Sessions Judges, one each for Exclusive Special Courts in 19 judicial divisions, to ensure faster disposal of pending cases under the SC/ST (Prevent...
