Banka, Sept. 4 -- A police sub-inspector Suraj Bhushan Prasad posted at Banka Town Police Station died in a road accident here today.
According to police, Prasad was travelling by motorcycle with Sagar Kumar to the police station for duty when their motorcycle met with an accident near the main post office in the town. Both sustained serious injuries in the accident.
On receiving information about the incident, police rushed the injured persons to Sadar Hospital, Banka, where doctors declared Prasad dead.
Prasad was a resident of Bihar Sharif. Sagar Kumar, who was seriously injured, was referred to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College and Hospital in Bhagalpur for better treatment.
