Motihari, June 27 -- A farmer was lynched to death over a land-related dispute in East Champaran district.
Police said here on Saturday that the incident took place in Siswa Mangal village under the Pachpakri police station area on Friday when farmer Ram Bihari Pandey was working in his field.
A group of people allegedly attacked him and brutally assaulted him with sticks, iron rods and other weapons, leaving him critically injured. Family members rushed him to Dhaka Referral Hospital, from where he was referred to Motihari Sadar Hospital due to the seriousness of his condition. However, he succumbed to his injuries on the way to the hospital.
