Patna, July 23 -- The Comptroller and Auditor General ( CAG) of India found unrealistic projections and deficient alignment between budget and expenditure in Bihar during the financial year 2024-25.
The CAG report on the State Finances of Bihar for the year 2024-25, tabled in the state assembly by the Finance Minister Bijendra Yadav, revealed that the Budget estimate was enhanced by 28.81 per cent through Supplementary Budgets but the expenditure remained only 1.48 per cent above the Original Budget in FY 2024-25.
The report said that during the financial year 2024-25, out of the total budget of the state of Rs 3,64,518.87 crore, only Rs 2,87,178.49 crore (78.78 per cent of the total budget) was spent, leading to savings of Rs 77,340.38 c...
