Patna, June 10 -- In a significant boost to dairy and food processing sector, Bihar government has approved the establishment of a dairy processing unit by Kaira District Cooperative Milk Producers'' union Limited (Amul Dairy) in the Fatuha Industrial Area near Patna.
Bihar Industries Minister Shreyasi Singh said here on Wednesday the state government is committed to promoting agriculture- and livestock-based industries. She stated that investments in the dairy sector would play a vital role in strengthening the rural economy, increasing farmers'' incomes and expanding the food processing industry.
"The government is continuously working to transform Bihar into a major hub for agriculture and food processing-based industries," she said.
