Bengaluru, June 24 -- The political controversy over the proposed Bidadi township project intensified on Wednesday after JD(S) leader and Ramanagara MLA Anita Kumaraswamy strongly objected to Karnataka Minister MB Patil's remarks on her alleged land holdings, warning that she would initiate legal action if "false and defamatory" statements continued.
The dispute erupted after Patil, while criticising union Minister HD Kumaraswamy's opposition to the township project, allegedly claimed that Anita Kumaraswamy owned around 100 acres of land in the Bidadi region.
