Varanasi, Aug. 5 -- Banaras Hindu University (BHU) has initiated a scientific study of the human skeleton recovered from the Rajghat excavations with the aim of elucidating important aspects of the genetic identity and lifestyle of the ancient inhabitants of Kashi and the Middle Ganga Valley.
The study will also examine its genetic similarities and differences with human remains recovered from Rakhigarhi, a major site of the Indus Valley Civilisation.
