On National Wildlife Day, tomorrow, the tiger remains the state's most recognisable wildlife draw, but ecotourism planning is increasingly bringing birds, wetlands, forests and the habitats that sustain them into sharper focus.
Nature trails, interpretation facilities, watchtowers, informative signage and habitat-based circuits are being used to make wildlife travel more about understanding a landscape rather than simply recording a sighting.
