Hyderabad, July 26 -- Hyderabad City Police Commissioner V C Sajjanar on Sunday cautioned the public against cyber frauds being carried out in the name of the government's Indiramma Towers housing scheme, urging applicants to remain vigilant as the Rs 10,000 Earnest Money Deposit (EMD) payment process begins.
In a statement, the Commissioner said cybercriminals may attempt to cheat beneficiaries through fake phone calls, fraudulent websites, unfamiliar links, and misleading messages, claiming they can secure house allotments in exchange for money.
