Lucknow, July 11 -- Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) president and former Chief Minister Mayawati on Saturday accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of misusing government agencies and other means for political gain and called on Dalits, backward classes, tribals, minorities, and other marginalized sections to bring the BSP to power in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections.
In a detailed statement posted on the social media platform 'X', Mayawati alleged that the BJP is using government agencies, the media, and other means against opposition parties to divert public attention from the government's alleged anti-people policies, inflation, unemployment, poverty, and law and order issues.
