New Delhi, Aug. 10 -- Indian boxer Narender Berwal left Prime Minister Narendra Modi amused with a hilarious anecdote from his career when he revealed how a Pakistani opponentonce joked about his repeated encounters with people named Narendra.
Berwal, who won silver in the men's 90 kg category at the 2026 Commonwealth Games, shared the story while meeting Modi at his New Delhi residence on Sunday along with India's other medallists from the Glasgow Games.
During the meeting, Berwal spoke about his bout against a Pakistani boxer at the 2015 World Military Games and how his opponent was struck by the repeated use of the name Narendra in Berwal's boxing circle.
