Bengaluru, Aug. 4 -- Karnataka Chief Minister DK Shivakumar on Tuesday outlined an ambitious vision to transform Bengaluru from India's "Silicon City" into a global deep-tech hub, with a focus on nanotechnology, artificial intelligence (AI), semiconductors, biotechnology and quantum science.
Inaugurating the 14th edition of the Bengaluru India Nano 2026 conference here, the Chief Minister said Karnataka possesses a unique ecosystem of research institutions, universities, startups and multinational R&D centres that can drive the next phase of innovation-led economic growth.
