Kolkata, April 7 -- The Bengali film and television industry on Tuesday withdrew an indefinite strike over the untimely death of actor Rahul Arunodoy Banerjee, even as it announced a collective boycott of a prominent production house until a "fair and transparent" investigation establishes the circumstances leading to his demise.

The decision came after a series of marathon meetings held across film studios since morning, where artistes, technicians, and industry bodies deliberated on their course of action.
