Kolkata, March 9 -- Four Trinamool Congress nominees and one from the BJP were elected to the Rajya Sabha uncontested from West Bengal on Monday.

The winning Trinamool candidates are state IT minister and singer-politician Babul Supriyo, noted lawyer Menaka Guruswami, former state police chief Rajeev Kumar and actress Koyel Mullick.

Former state BJP chief Rahul Sinha was also elected uncontested.

Supriyo, Kumar and Mullick went to the Legislative Assembly and collected the winning certificates from the returning officer.

Guruswamy, who is currently in New Delhi, did not attend the ceremony. State minister Aroop Biswas collected the certificate on her behalf.
