Kolkata, March 29 -- The Trinamool Congress (TMC) on Saturday flagged the emergence of a new political challenge in Murshidabad district, with party National General Secretary Abhishek Banerjee identifying Humayun Kabir's 'Amjanata Unnayan Party' as a growing rival alongside the BJP and the Congress.

Addressing an election rally in Naoda, Banerjee expressed concern that a section of TMC workers and booth-level functionaries were allegedly extending covert support to Kabir's outfit despite remaining within the party fold.

He issued a stern warning against what he described as "dual politics," making it clear that such actions would not be tolerated.
