Kolkata, Aug. 26 -- West Bengal's Library Affairs Minister Gourishankar Ghosh has warned of action against former chief minister Mamata Banerjee if 19 books issued from the state Assembly library in her name are not returned soon.
The books include 18 volumes of Rabindra Rachanabali, the collected works of Nobel laureate Rabindranath Tagore, and a copy of Sanchayita, a widely known anthology of Tagore's poems.
The books were issued to Banerjee from the Assembly library and, according to the minister, have not been returned despite the stipulated period having elapsed.
The issue came up during a programme held in Birbhum's Suri on Tuesday to mark the 127 foundation day of the Vivekananda Library.
