Kolkata, May 23 -- In a major move aimed at restoring transparency in government recruitment, the West Bengal government announced that candidates appearing for recruitment examinations will now be compulsorily provided with carbon copies of their OMR sheets.

Speaking at a government-organised 'Rozgar Mela' programme at Sealdah on Saturday, West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari said a new law would be introduced in the next session of the Assembly to reform the recruitment process.

Union Minister of State and BJP leader Sukanta Majumdar was also present at the event.
