Kolkata, May 21 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari directed the police and Railway Protection Force (RPF) to send the illegal Bangladeshi infiltrators to the BSF on the border for deportation instead of producing them before the court.
"I have instructed the Police Commissioner and the RPF that any illegal Bangladeshi infiltrator who does not fall under the purview of the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) should not be sent to court. After proper food and care, they should be taken directly to the Petrapole border in Bongaon or to a Border Outpost (BOP) in Basirhat," the Chief Minister said after an administrative meeting in Howrah on Thursday.
