Kolkata, March 24 -- In an effort to make the upcoming West Bengal election free from violence and threats, the state administration has issued a comprehensive set of directives for all government departments and officials, making it clear that any form of violence or irregularity will not be tolerated.

In a notification dated March 22 the state secretariat at Nabanna has issued guidelines with focus on six key areas to maintain transparency and order during the elections.

Primarly, the state administration has given utmost priority to ensuring a violence-free environment, with strict action promised against any disturbances.
