Kolkata, July 7 -- The West Bengal government was considering paying a monthly allowance to the next of kin of the 16 persons who died when the under-construction tea warehouse collapsed at Taratala in the south western part of the city last month, Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced on Tuesday .
Adhikari, who was disbursing compensation cheques to the next of kin of the deceased and also to those injured in the June 24 tragedy, assured all help from the government to the affected families.
"We will see if a monthly allowance can be given to the next of kin of the deceased so that they can sustain their livelihood,," he said during the programme at Nabanna Sabhaghar.
