Kolkata, Aug. 6 -- The West Bengal government has given a green signal to 192 construction projects across Kolkata and adjoining urban local bodies after scrutiny, while issuing notices to 27 others over alleged serious violations of sanctioned building plans, Urban Development and Municipal Affairs Minister Agnimitra Paul said on Thursday.

Speaking in the city after a meeting with the Confederation of Real Estate Developers' Associations of India (CREDAI), Paul said the projects were examined as part of the state's intensified inspection of construction activity following the collapse of an under-construction warehouse at Taratala in June.
