Kolkata, Sept. 5 -- The West Bengal government has drawn up an ambitious global campaign to promote Durga Puja as an international cultural and tourism brand, with plans to showcase the festival at iconic locations including New York's Times Square, Dubai's Burj Khalifa and London's Piccadilly Lights.
The campaign, titled 'Bishwajure Bangalir Abeg - Durga Puja Global Connect 2026', will also cover airports and railway stations across India, as well as 1,000 major puja pandals in West Bengal.
The government has set a combined target of 2 billion views and impressions through digital and social media platforms.
The state tourism department has issued a Request for Proposal (RFP) to appoint a professional agency to execute the campaign.
