Kolkata, June 25 -- West Bengal Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Subhankar Sarkar on Thursday urged the newly formed BJP government in the state to strengthen its intelligence network and maintain strict vigilance over what he described as the legacy of criminal and unethical activities allegedly fostered during the previous Trinamool Congress regime.

Addressing mediapersons at the Kolkata Press Club, Sarkar said the state government, which has completed just over a month in office, must remain alert to potential fallout from what he termed "a vast criminal network" built over the past 15 years.
