Nandigram, Oct. 3 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari turned the Nandigram Assembly by-election into a personal high stakes political contest, launching a sharp attack on the Trinamool Congress and urging voters to ensure that none of its candidates could retain their deposits.
Addressing a BJP rally at Birulia in support of party nominee Hasirani Rath on Friday, Adhikari sought to reassure voters that his decision to vacate the Nandigram seat after winning both Nandigram and Bhabanipur in the 2026 Assembly elections would not mark the end of his political engagement with the constituency.
