Kolkata, June 8 -- West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari on Sunday announced that a member from each of the families of BJP workers allegedly killed in post-poll violence following the 2021 Assembly elections would be provided government jobs this month, along with a one-time financial assistance of Rs 5 lakh from the Chief Minister's Relief Fund.
Addressing a gathering at the Convention Centre in New Town, Adhikari said appointment letters would be handed over to members of 315 bereaved families in June, fulfilling a commitment he had made before and after assuming office.
