Kolkata, Aug. 11 -- The West Bengal BJP is preparing for a major organisational overhaul, with more than a dozen district presidents likely to be removed amid growing complaints of extortion, indiscipline and anti-party activities at the grassroots level, party sources said.
The move is being seen as part of the state unit's attempt to "cleanse" the organisation after the BJP's expansion in several parts of Bengal. According to sources, more than 250 party workers and functionaries have already faced suspension for alleged anti-party and unethical activities.
