Siliguri, Sept. 24 -- Kalimpong police have arrested two persons, including an employee of Mal Municipality, in connection with an allegedly fake birth certificate prepared for an Afghan national arrested for staying illegally in India.
The arrests followed the detention of 28-year-old Syed Bilal Khan, a resident of Kabul, Afghanistan, by Kalimpong police on September 18. Khan was reportedly staying in rented accommodation near Chest Clinic at Hatbazar in Kalimpong and was allegedly found without valid documents.
