Kolkata, Feb. 28 -- The West Bengal Police has put its top brass on alert and deployed senior officers across sensitive districts of the state following the publication of the final list under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) on Saturday.
According to official instructions issued on Friday, the Director General of Police, in consultation with the Inspector General of Police (Law and Order), has directed several senior officers to move to designated districts and coordinate closely with local police units and security forces.
All officers concerned have been asked to report to their respective places of deployment by 2 pm on Saturday.
