Jalpaiguri, Sept. 10 -- Border Security Force, accompanied by police, conducted a raid and search operation at the premises of the eunuch community in Raikat Para of West Bengal's Jalpaiguri town early Thursday morning, triggering curiosity and speculation among residents.

The operation was led by the Inspector-in-Charge of Jalpaiguri police station.

Officials checked the identity documents, papers and nationality-related details of members staying at the premises.

The community has reportedly been living in the area since around 2014-15, initially in a rented house and later acquiring land and constructing a large building.
